The maintenance engineer is accountable for the reliability and the technical availability of all equipment and machinery.

Voornaamste taken

1) Define Asset Performance Management: Set up and maintain a predictive, preventive, condition based, corrective and autonomous maintenance program for his/hers asset area.
Updates procedures and instructions in order to improve constantly the safety, quality and cost of the equipment/process

2) Technical support
– Third line troubleshooting of equipment /manufacturing technical or quality problems.
– Contact to and plan OEM manufacturer intervention for difficult problems.
– Analyze daily technicians SAP logging and give feedback or improve maintenance program.
– Give support to technical problemsur.

3) Cost follow up:
– Check the quality and costs of services executed by external service providers.
– Set up the EAM spare part strategy program (in house - at supplier )
– Prepare budget.

4) long term refurbishment
/replacement plan:
– Prepare investments, in line with operations future production program, for long term refurbishment or replacement of EAM.

5) Training:
– Gives formal training to the cell brigadiers, operators and technicians of the instructions and guidelines as defined in the maintenance program.


– Master degree (Industrial Engineer) with 2 years of experience or Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years of hands on experience in a similar environment.

Functional competences:
– Fluent NL and good knowledge of English or German language
– Good knowledge of machines capability, functionality and structure
– Good knowledge in maintenance- and reliability programs for equipment and machinery.
– Basic office skills (outlook, excel, word, Teams/Skype, SAP PM, Metis, ...) and specialized to set up and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans in SAP PM
– Basic project management skills (problem description, team selection, planning, follow up) to lead the refurbishment program
– Good cost awareness and negotiation skills
– Good knowledge of safety and environment regulations and the HSE program for working with external service providers
– Analytic and pursue future innovation (digitalization ) in maintenance
