Mechanical Component Engineer

Doelstelling

Responsible for the selection of specific components within the assigned component groups, according to the Process and Instrumentation Diagram of the product/subsystem/module.

Voornaamste taken

-Responsible for the selection of specific components within the assigned component groups, according to the Process and Instrumentation Diagram of the product/subsystem/module
-Setup and Maintain an overview of the component suppliers based on technology portfolio, regional availability, code compliance, maturity and maintain a good relationship with the supplier contacts
-Setup and maintain an overview of the worldwide available component technologies versus the requirements for different products/subsystems/modules
-Provide training to the team on the assigned component group
-Define and follow-up on simulation and validation work together with simulation and validation experts
-Interface with piping design function, skid design function, process design team, electrical and instrumentation design team, product/subsystem/module design team, sourcing team, etc…
-Create the technical definition of selected components by releasing component specifications, models, etc…
-Approve models, dwgs and other technical definition documentation
-Report to the product/subsystem/module design team leadership as well as the mechanical design manager

Component groups:
-Rotating equipment (pumps and compressors)
-Heat exchangers and filters
-Valves, pressure regulators and safety relief valves
-Cables, harnesses, cable routing components and connectors

Profiel

-5 years experience in a similar role
-Able to read and understand a P&ID
-EPC background, preferably in Hydrogen, Oxygen service, Oil & Gas, Offshore equipment
-Background in engineering for the specific component group is a bonus
