Mechanical Design Engineer

Doelstelling

Responsible for leading the structural and piping design of the product/subsystem/module.

Voornaamste taken

-Responsible for leading the structural and piping design of the product/subsystem/module
-Manage the mechanical specification of the product/subsystem/module
-Help define concepts for modularization of the mechanical implementation of the process design of the product/subsystem/module
-Define and follow-up on simulation and validation work together with simulation and validation experts
-Interface with piping design function, skid design function, process design team, electrical and instrumentation design team, product/subsystem/module design team, manufacturing engineering team, project manager, etc…
-Create clear and well defined structure and work packages for the desing engineers and the India based CAD team (modeling / drafting) and follow up
-Approve models, dwgs and other technical definition documentation
-Report to the product/subsystem/module design team leadership as well as the mechanical design manager

Profiel

-5 years experience in a technical project engineering role
-Able to lead a global team of engineers, designers and drafters located in Canada, Belgium, UK, US, India, Spain, etc…
-Able to read and understand a P&ID
-EPC background, preferably in Hydrogen, Oxygen service, Oil & Gas, Offshore equipment
-Experience with PTC Creo CAD platform is a bonus
